With the completion of the BSAT-2c satellite in 2002, Vanguard Space Technologies established its position as a qualified supplier of high-performance satellite components and composite structures. We have since engineered, tooled, manufactured, assembled and tested carbon composite and aluminum structures for more than 80 spaceflight missions—delivering everything from simple composite components to challenging structural assemblies. In 2005, we began development on the products that now comprise our solar power systems offering and, just three years later, started transitioning to flight these technologies through Phase III Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) commercialization programs and solar panel flight experiments.
